a few editorial notes about the ministry

 What we see here above is a spirited remake of yesterday's meme, which had the site name written in huge letters on it.  This is more tasteful, we think, in retrospect.  The idea isn't specifically to advertise the site, so it need not be a huge bulletin board with our URL on it, but rather tastefully toned-down.  This way, its more clear that the idea is to share the Gospel, and not necessarily to promote the site.

On that note, we've already discussed here the budgeting for the site.  We get volunteer hours here, a lot of volunteer hours, and our budget is very low.  That said, some of our ministry partners are in a different situation.  They are not as comfortable as we are, and some of them are facing having to budget their food, particularly one of our orphanage partners.

This leads us to a notion of making a specific fund for those partners, and not just splitting a piece of our take to them, still doing that, giving a total percentage, but making links to accounts that go 100% to the orphanage in Uganda, or the operation in Pakistan.  We haven't set this up yet, and will be sure to post the moment its done.

So far, these partners get a sort of "tithe" from our ministry here, but clearly, that's a disingenuous plan that puts this organization in the center of the universe, which is clearly not fair to our partner's interests.

All that said, the remember that the ministry cost is next to nothing under the current model, and our volunteer hours are basically our overhead.  We don't really NEED money, but the same can't be said of our partners, and funds specifically for them will be set up, with a web portal and a front end explaining their ministry efforts.  Note, there will be volunteer hours used to set up all that, but such is why we're here, frankly, for the household of faith and the furtherance of the Gospel.

To God be the glory, and don't let us get greedy enough to demand the glory for ourselves.
